چکیده

Abstract Since the first pair of BeiDou satellites was deployed in 2000, China has made continuous efforts to establish its own independent Navigation Satellite System (BDS) provide regional radio determination satellite service as well and global navigation services, which rely on high quality orbit clock products. This article summarizes achievements precise (POD) BDS past decade with focus observation dynamic models. First, disclosed metadata is presented contribution POD addressed. The complete optical properties bus solar panels are derived based absorbed parameters material properties. Secondly, status tracking capabilities L-band data from accessible ground networks presented, while some low earth orbiter onboard capability listed. topological structure measurement scheme Inter-Satellite-Link (ISL) described. After highlighting progress models perturbations for BDS, e.g., phase center corrections, attitude, radiation pressure, different strategies used summarized. In addition, urgent requirement error modeling ISL emphasized analysis noises, incompatible characteristics illuminated discussed. further researches improvement calibration models, refinement potential estimation geodetic or identified. With this, it promising that can achieve better performance provides vital contributions geodesy navigation.

Precise Orbit Determination for Low Earth Orbit Satellites

The precise orbit determination problem is to accurately determine the position and velocity vectors of an orbiting satellite. In this paper we review the general contents of the orbit determination process, with particular emphasis on Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. The different orbit determination approaches and the different force models contained within are briefly discussed. The two mai...

Envisat Precise Orbit Determination

The Navigation Office at ESOC has been closely involved in all aspects of the Precise Orbit Determination (POD) of Envisat throughout the mission lifetime. These activities started shortly after launch through membership of the Orbit Validation Team (OVT). During this time ESOC was involved in both calibration and validation of the DORIS doppler data, the SLR data and the different POD solution...

Performance of BDS-3: Measurement Quality Analysis, Precise Orbit and Clock Determination

Since 2015, China has successfully launched five experimental BeiDou global navigation system (BDS-3) satellites for expanding the regional system to global coverage. An initial performance assessment and characterization analysis of the BDS-3 is presented. Twenty days of tracking data have been collected from eleven monitoring stations. The tracking characteristics and measurement quality are ...

Phase Error Modeling and Its Impact on Precise Orbit Determination of GRACE Satellites

Limiting factors for the precise orbit determination POD of low-earth orbit LEO satellite using dual-frequency GPS are nowadays mainly encountered with the in-flight phase error modeling. The phase error is modeled as a systematic and a random component each depending on the direction of GPS signal reception. The systematic part and standard deviation of random part in phase error model are, re...

Precise Orbit Determination of BeiDou Satellites with Contributions from Chinese National Continuous Operating Reference Stations

The precise orbit determination (POD) for BeiDou satellites is usually limited by the insufficient quantity and poor distribution of ground tracking stations. To cope with this problem, this study used the GPS and BeiDou joint POD method based on Chinese national continuous operating reference stations (CNCORS) and IGS/MGEX stations. The results show that the 3D RMS of the differences of overla...
